Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay’s been doing what she does best the past week, after her birthday celebrations - Shopping and being seen all around the LA area! This means outfit changes, beauty supply stockups, and even a problem with locking themselves out of Samantha’s Ronson’s place - and then allegedly refusing to pay the locksmith because by the time he got there, a friend had gotten them into the house. TMZ showed video of Lindsay asking the paparazzi to tell the locksmith that they weren’t gonna pay for her, since “he’s being a dick!”

The locksmith thing keeps following them, though, as random “Star Tours” have been driving by SamRo’s house, with folk yelling obscenities and such toward the house, waking up Samantha way to early for a late night DJ! She tweeted her irritation, as did Lindsay, and hopefully folks will stop with the random drivebys soon!

And a random fact we just found out - Lindsay turned down a role in “The Hangover” which sucks as it’s such a big hit! Here’s hoping that Labor Pains (ABC Family on the 19th!) and the upcoming “The Other Side” will help get Lindsay back up on the big screen for real. Sure, Labor Pains got regulated to TV, but from the clips and such, I think they made a mistake in doing so - though the greater exposure might help out and build buzz as Lindsay begins to film The Other Side in October.

Today our girl celebrates her 23rd birthday! While she had the first of her celebrations in Vegas last weekend, I’m sure there will be something else going on for the big day, throughout this weekend too. With Lindsay, there’s always a party!

Despite the fact that “someone special” wasn’t with her at midnight last night, she did end up coming home with Samantha in the wee hours of the morning. Not only that, it seems that engagement ring is back on her finger too, after a long day of pampering at the local salon - waxing and mani pedis and hair trims and all, then shopped a bit at Maxfield Botique. How do I know? She twittered it all! I do love celebs with no shame.

The paparazzi were feeling the party spirit too, and even sang Happy Birthday as Lilo left the club last night. Sounds like a good time was had by all!

Lindsay, in a recent interview, bragged about being a hard worker - more ambitious and hard working than many of her friend’s parents. “It’s not that hard to be me,” she explained, “[...]I am the hardest-working person I know. I’m a workaholic. I don’t know what to do when I’m not working. I get creatively frustrated.”

But of course, her first love will always remain with making films. “For most people — and for me, too — there’s something about going to the movies. It’s about being able to transform into different people and tell different stories. You can go to the movies if you’re depressed, and you can walk out later laughing. The fact that going into a theater for two hours can do that is an amazing feeling. To be the person who’s on that screen, who can make someone feel better, or bring out more emotion in someone, makes me feel really blessed that I’m able to do that. It’s just about finding the right roles, but when the time is right, they will come.”

We agree Lindsay! We can’t wait to see you back on the big screen where you belong!

On her birthday, Lindsay celebrated by spending the day with Samantha - a chatty lunch over pizza, and then a dinner together at the swanky Cecconi’s restaurant in Malibu, California.

Ok, so her birthday isn’t really until July 2nd, but Lindsay had an early party in Las Vegas this weekend, combining it with a Sevin Nyne Spray Tan Launch Party. Though - I thought they launched it already, but I guess you can do it more than ones? Who knows… All I know is Lindsay looked FANTASTIC struttin her stuff in a couple different bikinis, cover-ups, and once even a hat in a Michael Jackson Tribute pose while one of his songs played in the background. She grooved to the sounds of DJ pal Steve Aoki, and gushed over Twitter that she loved his mixes.

Lindsy looked happy and healthy and like she was having a great time! She deserves it after all the on again off again on again rumors of her and Samantha. It’s nice to see her content and having fun with her friends!

We’re only a couple weeks away from the premiere of Labor Pains, which will be shown on ABC Family on July 19th - and it’ll be available on DVD on August 4, 2009. I may be the only person who was disappointed that it wasn’t going to be on the big screen, as by all accounts, Lindsay is fantastic in it and it’s a clear start to something bigger and better.

In it, Lindsay plays a secretary who falls for her boss’ brothe while faking a pregnancy to keep from getting fired. Hijinks ensue, naturally! Director Lara Shapiro was pleased with Lindsay and her willingness to take on the roll. “She’s so unselfconscious. We wanted to accentuate her stomach, and Lindsay was very game for that.” Lindsay’s willingness to dress the part and show off her fake belly was dubbed a “No muumuu policy.”

In preparation for the opening, here’s some video clips, and I gotta say, Lindsay looks adorable, and it’s just flat out good to see her on screen again doing what she loves. Check it out!

Admit it - you’re kinda excited to see it, even if you really just hope that the rest of the movie between these clips is a complete and total train wreck, hm? I’ve already got my DVR set, myself, and I hope this leads right into good things for the upcoming project, The Other Side, which Lindsay will start filming this fall. Those involved with Labor Pains have had nothing but good things to say about working with Lindsay - don’t ya think it’s time folks start cutting her some slack? Me too.

Oh for the love of little green apples!

While in London, Lindsay was shooting the September Cover of British Elle, and at some point during or after the shoot there was a significant amount of valuable jewelry that was stolen. The value varies, but it’s said that $45k worth of jewels were on loan from a local jeweler, and were not returned.

Naturally the tabloids have decided that Lindsay took it. They claim an ‘inside source’ said that Lindsay “Kept going on about the jewels, asking if she could have them. We all thought she was joking.”

The police have been brought in to investigate, but the actress has NOT been questioned, but is ready and willing should they need it. When she found out about it, Lindsay - who was surrounded by hair, make-up wardrobe, assistants, photographers, security for the jewelry too - sad “Odd, and the entire thing gross, and no I didn’t take any jewelry.”

While it’s standard procedure that the authorities would call everyone who was there that day and get their statements, I supposed it’s sad that the standard procedure is also to accuse Lindsay of sticky fingers before the facts were even released. I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised - but yet? We are.

Lindsay’s rep had this to say to ET: “No one has contacted us yet, but Lindsay is happy to cooperate. She wants them to find the missing items.” And even Elle chimed in with “Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make.“

Seen leaving from Samantha’s place once more, Lindsay was all smiles as she hit up the local And LeCompte Salon on the 11th, exiting later with a bouncy gorgeous shiny ‘do. She then headed out to go apartment hunting around Beverly Hills.

Samantha’s neighbor, Anna Friel, says that she knows whenever the duo are in town - as when Lindsay is out of time, she’s the second chance for the paparazzi to get some sort of payable pictures! She says she’s only a victim of the Paparazzi when the “Mean Girl” isn’t around: I always know when she’s going out with her girlfriends, because, if she is, the paparazzi are outside. If they get bored with Lindsay or she’s not there, and I’m right down the hill, they’ll go, ‘Oh lindsay’s not here. Let’s take Anna.

The 12th saw Lindsay back to partying the night away, as she went to the AXE Lounge to get her groove on. She hit the South Hampton Hot Spot around 1am, gave the paps a couple pictures on the red carpet, then dashed inside. Once there, she complained about people taking her picture with their cell phones, and security was called in to put a stop at it, so that LiLo could continue to party on with the club co-owner Mike Heller until about 4am.

Where was Samantha? Who knows - though it’s most likely she was DJing another gig somewhere, or maybe enjoying a quiet night at home. Not like she or Lindsay gets many of those anymore, right?

While Lindsay was at Samantha’s last night once again, and once again there were reports of yelling and screaming soon after she arrived talking on her cell phone and breezing past the paparazzi inside, Lindsay’s dad still can’t keep his mouth shut. I swear that man has the tabloids on SPEED DIAL.

As usual, he’s all about how concerned he is. As usual, I wonder how a truly concerned parent can resort to airing dirty laundry to the press instead of oh, I dunno, TALKING TO YOUR KIDS? Maybe that’s why they don’t let him in, hm? Always more concerned with fame than the kids.

Anyway, this is what he had to say:

“She’s out there drinking and partying and she should not be doing that. People see her drinking. She should stay away from it. With the drugs, I think she’s in a much better place than she used to be. But I have a problem with her being even on prescription medication. Dr. Drew has what it takes to help anyone that has any kind of problem. It doesn’t have to be drugs, it doesn’t have to be alcohol, it can be any kind of emotional or psychological problem.”

He’s convinced that Lindsay turned to alcohol for comfort after splitting with Samantha… wouldn’t have anything to do with her messed up family, of course. No, never that. And we saw what Lindsay thinks of Dr. Drew….

Funny, I don’t see any Celebrity Rehab in Lindsay’s future.

Well, we all knew something was up, and indeed, since Lindsay and Samantha got home from London, Lindsay’s been spending more and more time over at SamRo’s house. Lindsay continue to be seen sporting a diamond engagement ring, and she left Samantha’s house on June 9th after picking up some belongings, just a little while before the DJ herself exited and wandered past the paps watching their every move.

So are they REALLY together? An close friend said “They haven’t started fighting yet, but they’re back together as far as Lindsay’s concerned. Lindsay has been doing so much better and has been giving Sam her space. She is really dedicated to making it work.”

Meanwhile, Papa Lohan is trying to get into the boxing ring once more - this time he wants to fight none other than Johnny Fairplay. Talk about my blogging worlds colliding! Naturally at the press conference, Johnny was all about the Lindsay jokes, and Papa all about beating his face in. They will battle for the vacant Celebrity Boxing Federation Welterweight Title on June 20th as part of Celebrity Boxing 9: Survival.

Is it bad that I’d love to see a double KO?

Well, we knew it would happen! Of course Lindsay and Samantha hooked up - not necessarily in the HOOK UP form of expression, because we weren’t there behind closed doors - in London and spend some time together. Lindsay was all smiles as she left Samantha’s hotel for her own on June 4th.

The next night, after dinner at Zuma restaurant, she was accidentally hit in the face by a body guard trying to keep the Paparazzi from LiLo - causing her to cry out and hold her face. She didn’t look any worse for wear as she hit the town the next day, though, and all seems to be going well for Lindsay in London.

Or are they? There’s also this little “feud” with Celebrity Shrink Dr. Drew that hit the internets not to long ago tool. Dr. Drew was quoted as saying “I’m really convinced that something horrible is going to have to happen to her before she really gets over it and embraces sobriety. She needs to give it up. And it’s going to be a while before she does. I have this image that she’s going to lose a limb or something before she does. And it scares me.”

While Lindsay didn’t report directly to the “journalists” she did post a rather snappy, smart reply back via her twitter:

“I thought REAL doctors talked to patients in offices behind closed doors. Am I wrong? Hmmmmm. I think NOT. Yay!”

Of course, the BIG buzz is that Lindsay was spotted with what looks like a diamond engagement ring on her finger last night, outside the Yauatcha Sushi Restaurant in London. Did the reunion with Samantha go better then expected? Who knows!

Lilo had a final meet and greet with Emanuele Ungaro for a business dinner, where she is reportedly going to be brought on as a Celebrity Face for the fashion line (Not as consultant as was previously speculated) - then she headed to Heathro Airport with Samantha to head back to Los Angeles. Her twitter hints at exciting news… observe!

“Leaving London but with my favorite favorite!!!-travel buddy&great news to share!! Maybe….;)”

Here’s hoping things keep on the ‘getting better’ track for our girl!

No hint of a hookup with Sam, yet, but you know how these things go!

Lindsay twittered last night about having fun at a late night photo shoot - until realizing how jet lagged she was! She looked a little worn down as she left her hotel, not returning until about 2:30 am. That’s a long work day for anyone, for sure!

Samantha was out and about on the town too, hitting up the Punchbowl pub with a friend, as she and Lindsay continued on their separate ways.

Here’s hoping she takes time to rest up and prepare for the upcoming film. Rumors have it she’s on orders to put on a little weight and make sure she’s in a good headspace - but you know how rumors are. We take’em with a grain of salt around here unless confirmed. Like my friends say - Pix or it didn’t happen!

Lindsay’s been in Paris the past couple of days, and Fox News is reporting that she’s been in some meetings with the House of Emanuel Ungaro to talk about singing on as a “creative consultant” for the fashion line. While we all know Lindsay adores fashion, and her leggings line 6126 isn’t doing too badly, it seems everyone is scoffing at this notion - including the head designer of Ungaro, Esteban Cortazar.

It’s said that he’s not greeting her with open arms, and even threatening to leave the company if they bring Lindsay in as a consultant! According to a fashion insider, “It has been a revolving door of designers there, and if he leaves, his team will go with him.” Cortazar is new on the scene himself, joining Ungaro in 2007, putting his own line on hold. His first Ungaro runway collection received warm reviews in March of 2009, and he’s willing to go back to his own line that he opened in 2002 if they dare bring Lindsay in.

Harsh, dude.

After the meetings and packing up at the hotel, Lindsay and her crew tried out the other side of the design coin, doing some retail therapy at Chloe before heading to the Eurostar, where Lindsay is reportedly heading to London. Samantha DJ’d there last night, and all reports say they’re meeting up there, at least for a while.

Hopefully Lindsay will keep busy, and without any new doses of the Crazy while waiting to begin filming her new project in October, The Other Side.

Never one to sit at home, Lindsay’s been on the move all week once again. She was seen in a HORRIBLE blue button up one-sie type outfit on the 19th as she headed out with her assistant for a meeting at the Sherman oaks Galleria. She wasn’t too pleased about the paparazzi, as she stuck her tongue out at them on her way past, but maybe it was just the hideous outfit. I ALMOST couldn’t bring myself to post it. It was THAT bad.

Almost.

On the 20th, Lindsay and Samantha arrived at Sam’s house, though it didn’t seem to be too friendly a visit. According to the paps on the scene, Lindsay circled the block to find out where Samantha was, than showed up at the club and followed her home. No telling if the visit went well, but Lindsay kicked off the holiday weekend with dinner at the Chateau Marmont, one of her favorite places to eat, looking MUCH more put together with a jacket, jeans and a KILLER pair of shoes!

The meeting must have went well, as on Monday, Lindsay was happy. So much so, she was blowing kisses at the paparazzi as she arrived home with a mystery male! Not sure if the guy or the new movie role is the reason for the smiles, but we’re certainly not complaining either way. Seem that the reason she was able to pick up “The Other Side” was due to a scheduling conflict on the part of Katie Holmes.

Never one to shy away from the limelight, even when he has to create and grasp and mold it himself by snatching it away from his kids, Michael Lohan had to have something to say about the break in! He chimed in with his thoughts and outrage against the would-be thieves. He stated the belief that the culprits were someone close to Lindsay and vowed to help them find the potential burglar.

According to Perez, Lohan said: “I was on the phone with the police department in Hollywood today. This is disgusting because someone knew that Lindsay’s in France with my daughter Ali right now - someone knew Lindsay was leaving the country and obviously it was someone close to her. I’m gonna find out who this person is and he’s gonna have major problems.”

Because, you know, the police really need the help of Papa Lohan in order to crack this case.

OR attempted one, anyway! It was reported on May 13th, that an alarm was tripped outside Lindsay Lohan’s home while she was away, as someone tried to jimmy the back door and get inside. There were pry marks on the door, and tampering with a back window. The rumors went flying that the house was ransacked inside, and the search began to see if anything was taken. The officials at LAPD then adjusted their comments to mention the house wasn’t ransacked or entered - it was just messy. Hah.

You know what they say, Lindsay! Sexy women have messy homes!

Lindsay wasn’t home at the time of the breaking but the culprits were caught on tape! The suspects were driving a Dodge Magnum station wagon, and the driver stayed inside while the passenger tried to get into the house - they left without entering, apparently scared away by the alarm.

They’ve been near inseparable since the breakup with Samantha, though the sisterly duo haven’t stayed in one place at all. They headed to Hawaii, and Europe on holiday, and arrived back in Los Angeles on May 13. When they arrived it was to hear some very good news - Lindsay has a new movie role! She’s landed a role in a new flick called “the Other Side” which also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Moriseete! It begins shooting in October on an island off the coast of Massachusetts.

So everyone’s questions now include “Can she do it?” - according to the director, David Michaels, she is ready to take on the role of a graduate science student on a remote island. He said “Lindsay’s very aware of people’s perceptions of her. She’s really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that.”

Here’s hoping he’s correct!
