Frank Morano, New York Independence Party activist, has sent a letter to Lindsay Lohan, appealing to her to enter politics! No, this isn’t an early April Fool’s joke. According to a report by the New York Observer, Frank wrote to Lindsay telling her that he admires her ability to deal with the media’s constant scrutiny, which can be inappropriate. He also applauds her for raising awareness “on so many issues affecting young people, like substance abuse and the importance of a good work ethic.�?

Obviously Frank hasn’t met James Robinson, CEO of Morgan Creek, the production company behind Lohan’s movie Georgia Rule - he recently slammed Lindsay for being irresponsible and unprofessional!

Frank goes on to say that Lindsay has captivated the hearts of many Americans and urges her to join the political arena. “You are exactly the kind of person that could motivate young people to be involved in politics and take a greater interest in their community,�? he writes. “If you were to run for office in New York, it would cause a groundswell of optimism about the future and army of grassroots activists not seen since Robert Kennedy.�? He then adds that he’s “tremendously excited about the prospect of a Lohan candidacy.�?

Wonder what Lindsay will say about this.

Scrap the rumors that Lindsay is going to ring in the New Year in Australia with party pal, Paris Hilton. Unfortunately for Aussie fans, that doesn’t seem to be true because the latest news is that Lindsay is actually in Miami!
A few days ago, Lindsay was seen returning to her Miami hotel at dawn after a hectic night out on the town, according to the National Ledger. It seems that Lindsay didn’t waste a moment before partying – it is reported that she was already hitting the club scene on Wednesday when she arrived! She took her party fever to popular South Beach nightclub, Mansion. But just to reassure all the Lindsay fans out there: it was a non-alcoholic night for the star, the report clarified.
Apparently, Lindsay’s ex, Wilmer Valderrama was also at the club, having a good time. But don’t think that a romantic reunion is on the cards for the two movie stars, because it isn’t. Lindsay and Wilmer are just good friends, and it seems he’s in the Lohan family good books as well. Apparently, the That ’70s Show actor has not only befriended Lindsay, but her mom Dina and younger sister Ali as well. How sweet!

One of Lindsay’s 2007 movie roles includes starring opposite Annette Bening in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic, A Woman of No Importance . Lindsay recently opened up about her fears of not being able to pull off the English accent for her role, even though she says she has an ear for picking up accents. “It’s a period piece and my character has a British accent. But it’s crazy. If I hang out with a British person for an hour or so, I start talking just like them. I can pick up accents pretty well. But I don’t want to be remembered like Van Dyke,” she said. Dick Van Dyke starred in Mary Poppins.

It’s refreshing to see Lindsay taking on different movie roles. And MTV hopes it continues. In an article, they listed the following resolutions Lindsay should make in 2007:

‘With “Bobby” and “A Prairie Home Companion” you showed that you’re determined to use your Hollywood clout for good and not evil. Pledge to keep throwing away scripts for “Confessions of a Teenage Herbie Queen,” and then take your acting as seriously as you want your fans to take you.’

Besides for A Woman Of No Importance, you will also see Lindsay star in the following movies in 2007: Georgia Rule, Chapter 27, and Speechless.

Recently Lindsay had to learn how to strip for her role in the upcoming movie I Know Who Killed Me, but her problems proved to be more serious than getting a few black-and-blue bruises from pole dancing lessons. She got herself into troubled waters when an email she wrote, in which she detailed her thoughts that all strippers are ‘whores,’ managed to find its way to the press.
Some strippers bit back, saying that Lindsay was no good at stripping and they were shocked that she had got the role. Cat fight alert!
To diffuse the situation, Lindsay recently apologized to strippers for her email faux pas - and she did more than just mumble out an apology. To really show how highly she thinks of strippers, the club-hopper was seen partying up a storm with some strippers at a New York hotspot called Scores West. She further brought her point home that she is stripper-friendly by telling nearby paparazzi that she’s a huge fan of adult entertainers. Lindsay openly declared, “I love strippers!�? Couldn’t be clearer than that. One of the dancers that night was also rumored to have told Page Six that Lindsay is a generous tipper. “I think she’s great,�? the woman added. Seems all is forgiven then.

There’s been an increase in celebrity DJs at clubs and parties. Lindsay Lohan is one of the celebrities who’s been snapped on the decks, along with the likes of Joel Madden and Madonna. Now, according to the Australian Herald Sun, Lindsay is set to DJ at an exclusive party at a bar called Honkytonks in Melbourne this coming weekend.
And if rumors are to be believed, the star isn’t going to be jet-setting to Australia alone. Apparently, Lindsay and feuding pal Paris Hilton have kissed and made up after their fight and will be going to Australia together!
As yet, the news that Lindsay will be at that party have not been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait and see if she does spin the decks for the Aussies. And if Paris is there to dance to her tunes.

What did Lindsay Lohan do to celebrate Christmas? She hit the clubs on Christmas Eve with some gal pals, including former reality star of Gastineau Girls, Brittny Gastineau. The good news is that Lindsay did not drink at all during the night, despite their festivities. The Daily News reports that a person who saw Lindsay at the club noticed that she kept refusing to drink, no matter how many rounds of drinks were served. The girls partied until 3am on Christmas morning. Lindsay then bought everyone a Christmas day breakfast comprising of hotdogs, straight from a hotdog cart right outside the club.
Well, it’s the thought that counts.

The latest tattoo trend in Hollywood is the “Star Tat�? – it’s become a fashion must-have among A-listers. Celebrities like Eva Longoria, Sienna Miller, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan have all been inking stars onto their wrists, shoulders or ankles. As you’ll see in the pic below, Lindsay has a small star on her wrist. Interestingly, the star is much more than something pretty to slap onto your skin. It is believed to have deep and meaningful vibes. The tattoo was initially adorned by sailors and was interpreted to symbolize the Northern Star, which sailors use to help them navigate their way. So wearing a nautical star is thought of as a lucky charm or a guiding light. Maybe Lindsay hopes it will guide her out of her struggles, like alcoholism and bad publicity? We hope it helps!

Aliana Lohan, Lindsay’s younger sister, recently chatted about Lindsay in an interview with MTV. Her nice words provided a cool contrast to the nasty things people have recently been saying about Lindsay. Hmm, maybe Lindsay should hire Ali as her new publicist!
Ali reported that Lindsay not only gives her makeup tips but also helps to keep her motivated about life. “She tells me never to give up and to stay strong,�? Ali said. “I basically want to follow in her footsteps.�?
Ali’s first shot at the big time is her Christmas album called Lohan Holiday. “It was a really cool experience,” Ali said. “I always watched my sister in the recording studio and on movie sets, and it’s really cool now that I have my face on something.”
When commenting about boys who are smitten with Lindsay, Ali is just as honest about her feelings. “Sometimes kids will come up to me and say, ‘Oh, your sister is Lindsay Lohan. Tell her she’s hot. And I’ll just run away,�? she said.

She came clean about attending AA meetings, she joined forces with Paris and Britney, she was rushed to hospital with an asthma attack, she confessed to suffering from an eating disorder, then took that statement back! She cut herself and was rushed to hospital, she fought with Paris, got reprimanded on the set of Georgia Rules by the head of the company producing the film for being ‘irresponsible’ and ‘unprofessional’ after she called in sick. She then found her way back to the hospital for a fractured wrist. Add those infamous drunken episodes and her fights with her former publicist and it’s kinda hard to believe all of this happened in just a year! She definitely has much more drama than the normal person!

Kim Izzo, who has co-written books like The Fabulous Girl’s Guide to Decorum even slotted this trend on the top of her ‘don’t’ list, according to the Edmonton Sun. “Seriously, Paris, Lindsay and Britney would do well to run their charge cards up on some thongs and briefs and wear them,�? she says. “No one wants to see that!�?
The ‘crotchgate’ phenomenon also had experts analyzing and criticizing it (I kid you not). For instance, Rebecca Sullivan, an associate professor of communication and culture at the University of Calgary had this to say: “The most desperate celebrities among us have just taken things to a new low by flashing full frontal nudity and trying to pass it off as a wardrobe malfunction.�?
Let’s hope we never have to see those ‘wardrobe malfunctions’ again!

Fred Durst is back in the news after quite a long time under the celebrity radar. A few days ago, he was caught on tape leaving the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, boasting to his friends that he had just slept with Lindsay Lohan.
Lindsay was seen leaving the same hotel, but can we believe what Fred says?
Is this just a publicity stunt on his part?
As yet, there has been no word from Lindsay or her representative about the alleged hook-up.

For some professional strippers, however, her hard work just doesn’t cut it. According to netscape.com a few strippers have expressed their shock that Lindsay was chosen for the role at all. According to the report, strippers who saw Lindsay in action called her efforts ‘klutzy’ and ‘awkward.’

Just ask Lindsay Lohan. She was recently spotted at a DKNY Jeans/Complex magazine party with her hood up, sipping unidentifiable drinks from the bar, reports The Bosh.
Hardly two weeks ago, Lindsay openly said she was switching from alcohol to Red Bull, claiming that it’s much more fun to be sober.
