Last night, Lindsay took lil sis Ali out to a Launch party for the new Teen.com and LG Haute & Bothered. This, of course, lead to much speculation that Ali shouldn’t be there (…at a Teen.com event?) partying with her sister, and some critics even went so far as to say that hanging out with her big sis will be detrimental to Ali’s career due to the trouble Lindsay’s had in the past.
First off - what career?
Secondly, I love that random professionals have to pipe up to give their two cents on the Lohan siblings. Someone scared up a Dr. Eva Ritvo - a psychaitrist and professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine, so that she could tell the press all about Sibling Relationships. “If you have an older child who is breaking a lot of the rules and engaging in dangerous and risky behavior, this can have a negative impact on the younger child.” She continued to say that Adolescents, while trying to break away from their family, won’t make the best choices, and can choose an older sibling as a role model, giving them “a very powerful influence on the younger child”.
That sound you just heard? My eyes rolling. I mean srsly, folks, is this really news? And who is Dr. Eva Ritvo anyway to be giving “expert” opinions on people she doesn’t even know? Exactly.
US Weekly is also opening the weight can of worms once again, declaring that a “source” told them Lindsy’s losing so much weight because she’s takes Adderall all the time, making her jittery and dropping the weight from her already thin frame. Lindsay says that she’s eating enough, and that the Hawaiian vacation was good for her, a means to relax with her family and get healthy after “a hard month”. She continued, “We’re a tight family,” she says. “We’ve been through a lot so we take care of each other… We went hiking and everything in Maui, so it was really good.”
She wouldn’t talk about her weight, but did mention that she is close to signing on for a new film with a “really good cast” - so hopefully there will be more about that soon! She also wants Pharell to get with her back in the studio too, to finish off that album we’ve been hearing about for over a year now. So call her back, Pharell, will ya?
