Lindsay and Samantha are in Miami, in preparation for their party duties ringing in the New Year tonight at the Mansion Nightclub; Lindsay will play hostess with the mostest, while Sam takes her turn at the tables, and keeps the party going till its 2009!

While waiting for their gig tonight, Samantha and Lindsay hit up the club scene in South Beach last night, and while Sam is presumably resting up for tonight (she’s said she’s feeling much better now after her brief hospital stay for exhaustion last week), Lindsay hit the beach, in her little black bikini. She hung out with Michael - her brother, not her father, because he’s too busy protesting that he loves his daughter and would never say anything but omg get that bad influence away from her before she rots in hell on his blog and lets not forget the vaguely disturbing sorta comparisons of himself to Jesus. Inorite?

She also had some friends to hang with, but I think they all paled in comparison with the cutest little fan ever, who gave her a kiss, and hug while he beamed. Lindsay seemed to like the attention from the little guy, and walked hand in hand with him on the beach as his grin rivaled the sun for warmth. All together now - awwwwww!

What kind of tunes can you expect if you hit the party at the Mansion tonight? Samantha gave People.com a taste of her play list, saying she simply goes with what she feels the crowd will respond to best. It includes songs like: Sex on Fire, est for Last, She’s Expensive, Never miss a Beat, Death and All his Friends, Love Lockdown, That’s not my name, Black and Gold, Oxford Comma, Poker Face, LES Artistes, and Bossy - and yes, that last one is by Lindsay Lohan.

While some say that Samantha hates the paparazzi and the attention that surrounds them at all times, it’s clear that she has her own jetsetting lifestyle - helped by all the attention on her ladylove, I’m sure. After all, would she be gettin half these gigs without Lindsay at her side?

An at her side she has been all week. They were out together at the Foxtail Lounge on Tuesday. Reports say that they weren’t happy as they left, including a shouting match as they drove away - but you know how these rumors are. Could be that Lindsay was telling her to watch out for the camera guy so they didn’t run over him - and Samantha was scowling? Really? This is news? I’m still stunned every time I see her smile!

True to style, they didn’t stay in LA for long though, and were seen in NYC last night. Samantha and Lindsay headed over to the 2008 NASCAR Spring Cup Series Champions’ Party at Tenjune (Where Britney had her birthday bash just a few days ago). Samantha took her turn in the DJ booth, spinning alongside Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein. Afterward, Lindsay and Samantha hit up the Baetrice Inn for some alone time, before heading back to the Midtown Manhattan hotel - where, reportedly, Dina, Ali and Cody were all staying as well.

And, on a personal note, can someone take that argyle sweater of Sam’s, along with the Freddy Krugar striped one that she wears all the time, and burn them for me? I don’t mind the t-shirts, the ratty jeans, the hi-tops, all of that, but those two sweaters make me groan every time she wears them! Lindsay, do a girl a favor, will ya? kthxbai!

… and she looked stunning, as usual! From the front rows of the New York’s Byrant park fashion shows, to the red carpet fun at MtV’s Video Music awards, we can always count on Lindsay to make a splash and look fantastic doing so. She’s looked so good lately, it’s hard to believe that this time just 2 years ago she was a complete train-wreck. She looked anything but a train-wreck tonight in a form fitting purple dress and matching strappy heels. With her hair down and her smile firmly in place, it is clear to see that she’s just happy with herself and her life right now.

And don’t think she was alone, because her constant companion Samantha Ronson was at her side, dressed up - sorta - with a jacket over her jeans and t-shirt. Check her out!

That’s not all, of course - it never is with our beloved bombshell! Latest rumor is that Lindsay is ready for a baby - they want to have a public coming out LA bash, and feel the logical next step would be to add a baby to their relationship.

NOTW reports that a source close to the couple said “Lindsay is in a very happy place at the moment, she’s been having deep discussions about a baby. She wants natural birth, and has talked to Sam about getting one of her ex’s to help out because they don’t want to adopt.”

They also said that Lindsay hopes having a child will help her keep on the path of her recovery from drug and alcohol addiction - because that’s such a damn good idea, huh?

The real question is - which of her ex’s would she and Sam approve of to father their love child? She’s certainly not at a loss for hot ex-boyfriends. Who do you think would make the best baby daddy - Jared Leto? Calum Best? Jude Law? someone else? Do tell!

While Lindsay is hard at work on the Ugly Betty set, the drama that always swirls around her family keeps getting wilder and wilder. In fact, it didn’t take long at all for Papa Lohan to go to the press again, instead of talking to his daughter directly. He hit up abc news first off, and lashed out against Samantha and Lindsay:

“Who’s out of control? Whose life is out of control? Give me a break,” he told ABCNews.com. “Going from place to place, being dragged around by Samantha so she can make more money off of Lindsay being there when she spins … She’s gone from making $7 million to less than a million a movie. Who’s out of control?

“I go to church,” he continued. “I go and help people in rehab. That’s control. How can she say I’m out of control?”

“I want Lindsay to be in a good place. When I started looking at what Samantha was doing, dragging Lindsay to clubs, drinking around Lindsay … Samantha is one of the biggest problems in her life,” Michael said. “That’s what Dina told me. I’m reacting on what Dina said, but then Dina steps out of the picture because she wants to look like the good guy.”

“Dina’s a two-face,” he continued. “She wants to try to look good and stay on Lindsay’s good side instead of being a good parent. I don’t give two hoots about my relationship with Lindsay as a friend. One day she’s going to turn around to me and tell me, ‘Daddy, you were right.’”

That, of course, wasn’t enough. He had more to say, so went straight to his staple ragmag, OK magazine, to let it all hang out again. And this one was a doosy, calling the myspace entries “absolutely ridiculous!”

A mishmash of the Lindsay Lohan news of the past couple days have us scratching our heads with a little bit of confusion.

First off, there’s the creepy fake agent dude, Roy Cohen who’s setting up shopping sprees and appearances for LiLo and Blake Lively (Gosspi Girl), but they don’t show up because the creepy stalkerish guy is, you know, fake. Weird. Of all the things to do - set up fake shopping sprees and such? Where’s the logic behind that? Did he think they wouldn’t notice when LiLo didn’t show up, didn’t know his name, had no idea what was going on? Which leads to other questions - the store owners/party venues weren’t taught to CONFIRM? They didn’t think to call back and make sure this guy was legit? I mean, how hard is it to get a hold of LiLo’s publicist… she is on record everywhere, right? Dorks. The stores deserve the lost $$ caused by shutdowns for non-existent private viewings. As a former manager of a franchise location, I’m appalled by the lack of responsibility! (Of course, this from the one who squealed like a school girl when Ted Dansen’s “Cheers” moterhome just drove through the parking lot. Ha! Hey, I live in Alaska, the thought that he might be in there was all it took to make our day exciting.)

In other news, Samantha and Lindsay were seen picking up over $300 in baby items. Wait, what? They were sure to assure us that they weren’t pregnant (….duh.) but there’s no word on who the items were for. Are they shopping for Angelina’s Baby Shower? Or for some family member? Or just to mess with the paparazzi? No one knows yet. (…do we really care? If LiLo isn’t sporting a babybump, or heaven forbid, Sam… I don’t.)

Lindsay and Sam capped off all this excitement, by spending a quiet dinner with their Moms for Family Bonding Time. In New York, they hit up Bar Pitty with Dina Lohan and Ann Dexter Jones. Sources say the group as quiet and happy, and quite comfortable with each other, like they’ve done this hang out thing before. Is it such a shock to have dinner with you mom nowdays?

Today, we expect more of the same for Lindsay - shopping, smiles, and Sam.

Lindsay took to her blog again yesterday to slam the reports (and reporters!) that gave the paparazzi to ask her a question about her 14 year old sister, Ali. As she was entering a store with a friend, Patrick, two paparazzi approached (as they always do) and threw questions her way. The kicker was “Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sister’s implants?”

Apparently a rag mag is reporting that Ali Lohan had implants, due to a recently taken picture. (I saw the picture - and really? I think the difference is in posture, not in breast size. Just saying.) Lindsay is not happy at all about the allegation. She continued on her blog, copping to a response that wasn’t exactly PC or proper when she called the paparazzi a pedophile for asking the question. She was caught off guard, and couldn’t think of a proper response, though there were a whole lot of other things she wanted to add, but refused to give the guy a money shot.

Lindsay further writes that she was raised with a wonderful family surrounding her even through the ups and downs, and that Dina taught them to appreciate what they’ve been given. Mom would “never encourage, nor allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.” Lindsay doesn’t judge those that do - but her family finds it unnecessary, especially at an age when your not fully developed. She reminds us that teenage years are hard enough with all the inherent insecurities, then add being in the public eye on top of it? Harsh.

She ends it, though, with missing Samantha because she’s out of town. Awwwww!

Looks like there’s trouble for both Lohan daughters this week!

First, Ali Lohan is running into the modern-day equivalent of bullies at her school, and it looks like they’re being dealt with just as modern. Turns out a few of the girls she goes to school with put a video up on You Tube that had some harsh things to say about the Lohan family. The girls in question? They were expelled.

That’s right, expelled.

Ali had this to say: “A few girls got suspended in school because they did a video about me on YouTube or something and said stuff (that was) inappropriate. Bad stuff that if I ever said, my mother would kill me. “I was, like, really shocked because those girls, I thought they were my friends, but obviously you can’t trust anybody except your family.”

Life’s apparently really hard for you in school when you’re trying to be a pop star and your sister is super famous.

On Lindsay’s end, things aren’t looking any easier. She was in New York on the set of the new NERD video, where she’s apparently making a cameo, when all hell broke loose. Reports are coming back that a huge fight broke out on set, and police had to be called. Apparently people weren’t happy with the amount of camera-time they were getting. The good news for Lindsay? She had been off-set for three hours by the time this happened.

Further proof Lindsay and Riley are still together? After attending her brother’s basketball game, she and Riley went to dinner with her dad and dad’s new girlfriend!

Looks like she’s really got this whole “divorced family” thing down pat. Spend some time with mom at her brother’s game, eat dinner with dad, and keep your boyfriend handy in case things get all crazy. Good for her!

Not ones to miss out on a shopping experience, Lindsay and Ali Lohan hit the day after Thanksgiving sales in New York. The pair spent the day hitting Armani Exchange, as well as Intermix Boutique. No word on how much they bought but they have some bags with them so we know they got something.

And I forget how young Ali is until I see the pair together. And then the only reason I notice is because she’s so much shorter than Lindsay. Even if they do look the same age!

Aw! Everyone looks so happy to be together for the holidays! Lindsay, Riley and Dina all went out for lunch on Wednesday, hopefully to discuss plans for Turkey Day as well as for Riley to make ammends for those nasty things he said about Dina’s reality show! Now that all three are together, I wonder how much of the show Lindsay and Riley will actually be in? Filming has started, so maybe they’ll have an extra-special Thanksgiving episode, show how the whole family (Papa Lohan included if he shows up!) can get along when they really want to. AW!

Now that she’s in NYC, Lindsay is taking some time to reunite with her family … well, minus Papa Lohan. Here she is out and about with brother Dakota.

Why she thinks family bonding is best done on the streets of New York with the paparazzi in tow I’ll never figure out, but it’s super cute how much alike these two look. And Dakota actually looks his age, unlike Ali (who looks closer to 30 than Lindsay does).

Here’s hoping they stay inside and bond at least a little bit while she’s out there!

Scoring one for mom’s everywhere, Dina Lohan’s been telling people she doesn’t understand why her daughter had to go to rehab. Apparently her daughter’s DUI seems the same to her as a college kid getting a DUI, and in her words, “Like, if you’re in college and you get a D.U.I., you don’t go to rehab. It’s just ridiculous!�?

Yeah, Dina, if you’re in college and you get a DUI you don’t go to rehab. Sure. But if you hijack someone’s car with them and two of their friends in it, and then try to sneak coke into jail with you? Then you need to go to rehab. And when you aren’t even 21 and admitting you’ve been partying for years and telling people OF YOUR OWN ACCORD that you’ve got a problem, and when your every move is splashed all over the television and magazines? Then you go to rehab. Even if just to save your career.

There are plenty of stars who quietly party much harder than Lindsay ever did, I’m sure. She just chose to do it so that everyone was watching and critiquing her. And that’s the fastest way to end your Hollywood career. Just look at Britney Spears! Or Mel Gibson. Or Dog the Bounty Hunter (Hah!) … they all aired their dirty laundry willingly and have crushed their careers. Take note, Dina, take note.

Now that Lindsay’s clean and sober (for the third time), it’s time for another one of her family members to get crazy. This time it’s not mommy or daddy, it’s her uncle.

[Lohan’s] uncle, Matthew Sullivan, was allegedly caught drunk and in pos session of marijuana by Long Island cops. Sullivan, 46, of Merrick, was stopped by state troop ers on Meadowbrook Parkway on Oct. 3 just before 11 p.m. Eric Phillips, a spokesman for Nassau DA Kathleen Rice, told The Post’s Kieran Crowley that Sullivan blew a .13 on the Breathalizer. The legal limit is .08.

Man oh man. Maybe Lindsay should go back to Utah and work on another album and not tour to support it. And shop online only. That way she could stay out of the gossip spotlight for a week or two!

Now that she’s out of rehab and “cleaning house” (including friends like Brit Brit and rumored girlfriend Samantha Ronson) there’s one more name to potentially add to that list … Dina Lohan.

Despite Lindsay’s camp saying there’s no truth to the rumors she’s fired her mommy manager, sources close to Dina are saying otherwise.

“Lindsay fired Dina as her manager. She is livid about all this press her mom is doing on this NYC apartment that she’ll never even live in; Dina even gave Access Hollywood a tour of the apartment two nights ago.”

“The apartment” is the rumored new digs of LiLo once she’s done filming her newest movie. It looks like Linds won’t be living there after all, as she’s made it very clear she plans to stay in Utah and continue her recovery.

It gets better. Apparently the only way Dina got her E! television show was by saying Lindsay would be on it with her, and now that it’s clear she wants nothing to do with her mother, Dina might lose the show.

“They tolerate her simply to get to Lindsay – the REAL star in the family. When Lindsay found out about the show, she went mad at her mother. She is upset her mom would use her name and sign off on paperwork involving her career without even consulting her. The two haven’t even spoken in weeks except to fight.”

Looks like there’s about to be a serious media-fueled catfight! Too bad Dina can’t learn to put on a concerned face like Brit’s mom. She’s got that thing HANDLED!

Lindsay Lohan has told Allure magazine that she feels like she’s a protector to her family and friends. “When my friends and family are around me I feel like they’re safe. When my friends have left me – I’ve just seen everything collapse. They’re not safe without me,�? she says. So, picture this: while the city sleeps, La Lohan aka: The Protector watches over her friends and makes sure that they’re okay. Err, is it just me or does Lindsay sound like she wants to be a superhero? Instead of stressing so much that her loved ones can’t survive without her, Lindsay should be worrying about herself. She claims to have been disappointed with herself when she realized that she had to be treated for her alcohol addiction. “It’s so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab,�? she said. But despite having gone, Lindsay now insists that she is not going to slow down on her partying ways. “It’s my life!�? she says. Ever Miss. Contradictory, Lindsay admits that she knows her fans are getting tired of her wild behaviour. “Everybody’s tired of hearing things about me. I think it’s just better for me to lie low and get better,�? she says.
