Lindsay walks away from movie and kiss with Keira Knightley

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Lindsay was supposed to star in the upcoming film, The Best Time of Our Lives, but she has decided to drop out of it. Pout princess Keira Knightley was going to make out with Lindsay in the movie, which is based on the life of poet Dylan Thomas, but unfortunately for guys hoping to see some girl-on-girl action, it’s not gonna happen. The reason for Lindsay’s decision to pull out is due to her team being unable to work out an agreeable contract with the film’s producers. Although Lindsay was supposed to start filming on the 21st of April. a source told Life & Style magazine, “They were unable to come to terms. She didn’t back out and they didn’t pull the deal. But there were changes that weren’t to her liking, and that was that. Sheesh, can you be any vaguer? Anyway, this move can’t be good for Lindsay’s career – she has dropped out of movies before and has already garnered a bad reputation as being unprofessional and unreliable on sets. According to cinemablend.com, when Lindsay was filming Georgia Rule, co-star Jane Fonda was so appalled by Lindsay’s unprofessional ways on-set that she sent the young star a letter asking her to stop it.

Stevie Nicks: There is no way Lindsay is going to play me!

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007
13584221451press416200712730am.jpg

There have rumors that Lindsay Lohan is going to play the role of Stevie Nicks in an upcoming movie about the singer’s rock star lifestyle. Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Stevie Nicks is an American singer and songwriter who is best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career, which earned her over twenty Top Forty hits.

But Stevie has blatantly denied the rumors that Lindsay will portray her and really doesn’t sound too impressed with them. According to reports, this is what she had to say: “Lindsay Lohan thinks she is going to play me? But what the hell movie does she think she’s talking about? There is no book, there is no screenplay, there is no movie without me, because it’s never going to be the story of me. Even though a lot has been written about me, the fact is nobody actually has a clue to what my life was really like. So, good luck Lindsay! Yikes! Someone fell out of bed that morning.

Anyway, it seems to be quite sad news for Lindsay because sources say that she is desperate to play the role of the singer. From just Stevie’s comments here, I think that Lindsay might be a good choice after all – she would definitely match Stevie’s attitude and blatant honesty!

Lindsay becomes a hippie!

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

One thing about Lindsay Lohan is that you can’t pigeonhole her to a role. From playing the new girl in school to snagging the role of a stripper, she seems to always raise the bar on her efforts. And in her latest movie, Lindsay goes one step further by playing the role of a drug-taking hippie. According to reports, she is ecstatic about it. “[The movie] is about a group of kids taking a cross-country trip when one of them drops acid, goes crazy and starts, like, killing people, Lindsay said. That sounds, like, interesting.

For the movie Lindsay will be working with director Chris Silverston who also directed her in I Know Who Killed Me. Lindsay chats a bit about what it’s like to work with Chris. “I have so much faith in Chris and I just love working with him. I love him so much as a person… I think Chris is going to be huge. I have no doubt in my mind about that,” she says.

In other news, Lindsay has already hit Japan, where she is doing her modeling stint for designer Jill Stuart, and she’s already been firing up the party scene! According to Hollyscoop.com, Lindsay has wasted no time sussing out the nightlife with DJ Samantha Ronson. Sigh, all in a day’s work for La Lohan.

Lindsay to be a Princess?

Monday, April 9th, 2007

No, not in real life! But close enough - Lindsay Lohan is desperate to wear a crown and be Princess Diana in a movie about the late, great royal’s life. According to reports, Lindsay says it would actually be her dream role. “It would be fantastic to play her. She gave back a lot and was such an amazing woman, Lindsay told In Touch Weekly. But why does Lindsay think she’d be perfect for the role? Perhaps it has something to do with her mother (yet again). Dina Lohan has previously said that she worries about her daughter facing the same fatal fate that Diana did – because she is constantly pursued and harassed by the paparazzi just like Princess Diana was. But it seems Lindsay’s obsession with the role goes beyond those words. She is such a big fan of Princess Diana that she seems keen to emulate her life - not just on the big screen but in real life as well. She claims she is going to be doing more charity work. “I’m going to Japan soon with my friend Charlotte Ronson, who’s a designer, and I’m researching some charity work that I can do and visit some orphanages, Lindsay says.

Hmm, wonder if she’s signing Princess Lindsay Lohan?

Another movie role bites the dust

Some people have coined a new phrase – ‘pulling a La Lohan’. It refers to how Lindsay is dropping out of movie roles – fast. And she’s done it again! If you recall, during her time in rehab, Lindsay pulled out of A Woman Of No Importance because she chose to focus on herself instead of her career. But now, despite being out of rehab and back to work, Lindsay has pulled the plug on her efforts in yet another film - The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond. The movie centers on a Southern socialite (a role given to Lindsay) and is set in the 1920s. But now that Lindsay is no longer a part of the movie, she is rumored to be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard, who stars in Spiderman 3.
So the big question is: Why is Lindsay ‘pulling a La Lohan’ again?
Perhaps she’s still struggling to get her life back on track?
Or is it a case of not wanting to get involved in independent films? (Last year Lindsay did claim that she only wanted to work for big directors.)
On the other hand, her decision to bail on the film could come down to her unreliability. She has previously been slammed by directors and actors for not being professional and recently caused mayhem on the set of the movie I Know Who Killed Me because she would arrive hours late and then expect to have naps instead of getting into work.
If the latter is the reason for Lindsay’s decision, she really needs a reality check because if she continues to pull out of roles, soon directors are going to stop casting her altogether.

Lindsay causes problems on set of new film

Monday, March 12th, 2007
8264082451press39200732407am.jpg

Even though Lindsay Lohan has slowed down her partying ways since leaving rehab last month, it seems like she is still up to her old tricks when it comes to unreliability in her career. According to a report by The Bosh, Lindsay kept crew members waiting for her for hours on the set of her latest flick I Know Who Killed Me. And when Lindsay finally pitched, she announced that she needed to take a quick snooze!

No wonder Scarlett Johansson has given Lindsay a verbal lashing. In an interview with American publication Parade, no-holds-barred Scarlett had this to say, “I’m very responsible when I’m working. I’ve just been doing it for a long time and I’m not the kind of person who is going to show up to work three hours late, or maybe not come at all. [hint, hint, Lindsay!]
That’s just not who I am. That just has to do with the fact that I understand that everybody else comes to work and we would all like to get an extra four hours of sleep, but what can you do?”

Despite her unprofessional behavior and reports that she’s looking ‘thin and tired’, Lindsay has claimed that she’s well on the road to recovery, much thanks to her mom, Dina. “Mum has given me some very sound advice over the years,” Lindsay told Sunday magazine. “She’s amazing. Now I just say ‘no’ more than I say ‘yes’.”
But did mama teach her that there are times when she’s gotta be professional and say ‘yes’ to working hard and ‘no’ to being a diva? I have my doubts.

Mood boost for Lilo

Thursday, February 8th, 2007
9446104451press252007125828am.jpg

Reports have been claiming that Lindsay Lohan (aka Lilo) is heading back to the binge bandwagon and that she’s just falling apart, along with her fragile movie career.
But a report on Fox News begs to differ. According to the report, sources have said that it was Lindsay herself who was keen to go to rehab in the first place. She made that decision to get her life back on track so she knows she has to succeed.
But what about those reports that movie directors and respected actors are refusing to work with Lindsay because of her party behavior and unreliability? According to the same report, this is not true! The report claims, ‘Every director wants her to be in his or her movie. Forget the rumors that certain actors or directors refuse to work with her; it couldn’t be further from the truth.’ Apparently, Lindsay has also said that she means business with her sobriety mission. From the set of I Know Who Killed Me, she said, “I plan on sticking with my sobriety, as I always wanted to. Working the steps helps it resonate more.
Just who do we believe? Well, what with all the conflicting reports about La Lohan, guess we’ll just have to see what happens next.

Lindsay more important than movie

Monday, February 5th, 2007
11381812451press25200711705am.jpg

Lindsay Lohan has made a huge career decision to drop out of her role in the movie, A Woman Of No Importance. The reason? No, it’s not because she’s been flaking, pitching up to sets late or because she’s back on the bottle. Actually, this time it’s a good decision on LaLohan’s part. According to Lindsay’s representative, Leslie Sloane, Lindsay has backed out of the movie because she doesn’t want to compromise herself anymore. “If anything has been learned, it’s that what she needs comes first – and right now she needs focus,” Leslie said. Apparently, the Mean Girls star is also sick and tired of dealing with all the media attention she has been receiving, especially now that she is in rehab, and just wants to focus on her life and her needs - out of the spotlight. Instead of leaping from one movie to the next, Lindsay just wants to relax for a few weeks, Leslie says. “It’s a mature thing to do. … She’s doing this so she can focus on getting better,” Leslie adds. Seems like a brilliant idea. Despite her not starring in A Woman Of No Importance, Lindsay will still appear in the movie, I Know Who Killed Me.

Lindsay goes back to work

Friday, January 26th, 2007
9293789451press123200713658am.jpg

Today it’s back to work for Lindsay Lohan. For a while the doctor who was treating her appendix problems said she had to take time off from work after her appendectomy just to be on the safe side, especially because her role in the thriller she is currently shooting, I Know Who Killed Me, involves some hectic pole-dancing that could be risky. But now Lindsay’s been given the green light to resume shooting of the movie. According to a report on the E Online website, Lindsay’s representative has confirmed that Lindsay is okay and will be heading back to work.
But how can she be going back to work if she’s in rehab, you’re wondering? Well, E Online reports that Lindsay will most likely continue treatment at the LA rehab facility Wonderland at night while shooting her movie during the day. But despite being ready to earn a living again, Lindsay was forced to pass up the chance to party at the premiere of her movie Chapter 27, co-starring Jared Leto, in Park City because doctors were worried she’d be tempted to start drinking again. Her representative has confirmed that the star is not budging from LA. So it’s all work, work, work and rehab for Lindsay at the moment.

Sharon Stone: Let’s hear it for Lindsay!

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007
sharon-and-lindsay.jpg

What does Sharon Stone think about Lindsay Lohan? It’s time to give credit where credit is due! When Sharon recently spoke about Lindsay Lohan, she only had compliments to say about the young star. The 48-year-old Basic Instinct star, who co-stars with Lindsay in the political movie Bobby, has given Lindsay a boost of self-esteem by saying that she is very impressed with Lindsay’s talent and social awareness. “Lindsay is only twenty and yet she has chosen to make films that have social and human consciousness. I think that’s terrific,” she says. “She’s chosen to use her celebrity status to speak to the people of her generation about important issues. That has an impact. I really commend her for doing that and so should everyone else.” Sharon does have a point, especially because the tabloids only ever speak about Lindsay’s partying and drama. But would Sharon be one of the (few) people who would be keen to see Lindsay enter politics then? Err, dunno if we can agree with Sharon if she thinks that!
Sharon and Lindsay are not the only celebrities to brighten up the cast of Bobby, a movie about the assassination of Robert Kennedy. Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, Elijah Wood and Anthony Hopkins all star in the movie as well.

Lindsay talks about her ‘Wilde’ experience

Friday, December 29th, 2006
lindsay-goes-wilde.jpg

One of Lindsay’s 2007 movie roles includes starring opposite Annette Bening in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic, A Woman of No Importance . Lindsay recently opened up about her fears of not being able to pull off the English accent for her role, even though she says she has an ear for picking up accents. “It’s a period piece and my character has a British accent. But it’s crazy. If I hang out with a British person for an hour or so, I start talking just like them. I can pick up accents pretty well. But I don’t want to be remembered like Van Dyke,” she said. Dick Van Dyke starred in Mary Poppins.

It’s refreshing to see Lindsay taking on different movie roles. And MTV hopes it continues. In an article, they listed the following resolutions Lindsay should make in 2007:

‘With “Bobby” and “A Prairie Home Companion” you showed that you’re determined to use your Hollywood clout for good and not evil. Pledge to keep throwing away scripts for “Confessions of a Teenage Herbie Queen,” and then take your acting as seriously as you want your fans to take you.’

Besides for A Woman Of No Importance, you will also see Lindsay star in the following movies in 2007: Georgia Rule, Chapter 27, and Speechless.

Lindsay Lohan: confessions of a real life drama queen!

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006
lindsays-drama-filled-year.jpg

Lindsay has come in at number eight on the Starpulse top ten list of 2006. Why? For her trials and tribulations, of course!
It was like the real life confessions of a drama queen for Linds this year, as she gave the press (and the rest of us celebrity gossip addicts!) a lot to be entertained about. Here are some snippets:
She came clean about attending AA meetings, she joined forces with Paris and Britney, she was rushed to hospital with an asthma attack, she confessed to suffering from an eating disorder, then took that statement back! She cut herself and was rushed to hospital, she fought with Paris, got reprimanded on the set of Georgia Rules by the head of the company producing the film for being ‘irresponsible’ and ‘unprofessional’ after she called in sick. She then found her way back to the hospital for a fractured wrist. Add those infamous drunken episodes and her fights with her former publicist and it’s kinda hard to believe all of this happened in just a year! She definitely has much more drama than the normal person!

Strippers say ‘no’ to Lindsay

Sunday, December 24th, 2006
lindsay-at-olympus-fashion-week-spring-2007.jpg

She moaned about the bruises from stripping lessons…
We read reports that she was practicing for long hours to perfect her moves for her stripper role in I Know Who Killed Me.
For some professional strippers, however, her hard work just doesn’t cut it. According to netscape.com a few strippers have expressed their shock that Lindsay was chosen for the role at all. According to the report, strippers who saw Lindsay in action called her efforts ‘klutzy’ and ‘awkward.’

Lindsay talked about in horror flick

Friday, December 22nd, 2006
lindsay-in-horror-flick.jpg

Rosario Dawson and Lindsay Lohan are going to star in horror flick Grindhouse. In an interview with MTV, Rosario said, “I play a makeup and hair artist for Lindsay Lohan.” But Lindsay isn’t seen in the movie! Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who appears alongside Rosario, explains that although the characters talk about Lindsay, she doesn’t actually make an appearance in the movie.
So, not only are people talking about Lindsay in real life, but on the big screen as well. It seems art is imitating life!

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006
julia-ormond.jpglindsay-plays-julias-daughter-in-new-role.jpg

Julia Ormond has been picked to play Lindsay’s mom in the upcoming movie, I Know Who Killed Me. Hmm, there is a bit of a physical resemblance, actually!

In the movie, Lindsay plays a businesswoman who is kidnapped. When she is found alive, she claims that she is somebody else.
