In an interview with Spin Magazine promoting her new album of Tom Waits covers, Scarlett started talking about Lindsay and Paris and their music. She had this to say:

“I have no relationship with either Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton, even as far as my lifestyle or the music I listen to. They probably made music that fits with their lifestyle – ‘Wouldn’t it be great if I were dancing to my own song in the club?’ My album is more suited to my lifestyle. I live a very low-key life.”

People all over the internet are freaking out about this, saying she’s blasting them, talking trash, being mean. Personally, while I think she’s making a lot of judgments in a short amount of time, it’s not mean. Lindsay spends a good amount of time at clubs, especially when friend Sam Ronson is dj-ing, so it’s not a far leap to say she might like hearing her music played at a club. And if Scarlett doesn’t know Lindsay (which she says is true), then she just doesn’t know.

Plus, she said “probably”. Total mea culpa there. Whatever. Mostly I think it was her way of separating herself from all the other blonde starlets out there, give the “alterna-boys” over at Spin one more thing to drool over … her alterna-status.

While still in New York, Lindsay was spotted at Gypsy Tea. She may or may not have been filming her cameo in the NERD video in this spot, but we do know she had not only a bodyguard but her friend Sam with her.

At what point can I start wondering if these two aren’t so much lovers as they are best friends? And that having Sam around might actually be helping keep LiLo sober this time, instead of believing Samw as the one at fault for LiLo’s drinking (like people used to spout off all the time)? Because I’m starting to think that. Sam’s been just about everywhere with Lindsay lately, and we’ve also heard lots of news about her working consistently again, and not getting all drunk and drugged up. Could they be correlated?

Looks like there’s trouble for both Lohan daughters this week!

First, Ali Lohan is running into the modern-day equivalent of bullies at her school, and it looks like they’re being dealt with just as modern. Turns out a few of the girls she goes to school with put a video up on You Tube that had some harsh things to say about the Lohan family. The girls in question? They were expelled.

That’s right, expelled.

Ali had this to say: “A few girls got suspended in school because they did a video about me on YouTube or something and said stuff (that was) inappropriate. Bad stuff that if I ever said, my mother would kill me. “I was, like, really shocked because those girls, I thought they were my friends, but obviously you can’t trust anybody except your family.”

Life’s apparently really hard for you in school when you’re trying to be a pop star and your sister is super famous.

On Lindsay’s end, things aren’t looking any easier. She was in New York on the set of the new NERD video, where she’s apparently making a cameo, when all hell broke loose. Reports are coming back that a huge fight broke out on set, and police had to be called. Apparently people weren’t happy with the amount of camera-time they were getting. The good news for Lindsay? She had been off-set for three hours by the time this happened.

With her first two albums pretty much tanking, people were surprised when Lindsay started to head back into the studios a few months ago to make a third attempt. Rumors that she was only doing so to fulfill contractual agreements were quickly quashed, and she brought in some big hitters to help her out. Now she’s talking about the sound she’s trying to create, and some of her influences and inspirations.

When talking to the Telegraph, she said “I want it to be dancing,” referring to the sound and the feeling she wants the new album to hold. “I want to make that kind of Kylie Minogue meet Rihanna.”

One thing she’s not willing to divulge about the album is whether any of the songs will touch on her year of rehab and drug-related issues. “I am not sure yet” was the official response, which leads me to believe the album isn’t even close completion. Either that or she’s going to surprise us all with her comebacks to Riley Giles, Calum Blue, and a few of the other people who have screwed her over and/or sold her out this past year. I’d buy an album with those songs on it for sure!

Singer/songwriter Chase Emery has written a song to one of his celebrity crushes, our very own Lindsay Lohan. Titled “Lindsay Lohan Ballad”, it chronicles some of her less than stellar moments, but actually doesn’t sound so bad. You can head to his site to read the lyrics (if, like me you don’t have speakers at work or shouldn’t be playing it when you’re on the clock), or you can just watch the video here!

I can’t decide if I think it’s funny or mean, but either way it’s proof that despite some poor choices in Lindsay’s past, she’s still on the minds of the masses. What do you think of the video and the song? Making fun of the troubled starlet a little too much, or all in good fun?

It looks like Lindsay’s movie career isn’t the only one that’s on the rocks. Thanks to several movie bombs in a row, coupled with her inability to show up on time and act compeltely bratty while on set, she’s having a hard time getting cast in anything. And with her tango movie “on hold” right now, she’s got no future movie deals awaiting.

People thought she’d fall back on her music career for money, but it looks like that’s not going to be the case either. Despite all the “candid” pictures that surfaced of Lindsay in the studio, it would appear she hasn’t recorded a single note!

“She told Universal she’d have some material by January 1, but she’s done nothing,” the insider reveals. “Instead of working with producers, she ran off to Capri to party it up. So many people are mad at her, especially Timbaland and 50 Cent, who were kind enough to say they’d help her out. Even Justin Timberlake said he’d work with her on a song, but she blew him off.

Who knew she had all these music stars lined up to help her out?! Instead of working on her career, keeping money flowing in, she’s been spotted out shopping with what’s probably a new boy-toy.

If Lindsay’s not careful, she’ll hop on board the bus to crazy-town with Britney. As it is, she seems to have more problems than her stay in rehab could fix. It probably didn’t help that she hooked up while there!

Lindsay Lohan, music career, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Timbaland

Here’s the first of what I’m sure will be many studio pictures of Lindsay, working on her third album. She looks really skinny to me.

Okay, so there’s some conflicting information surrounding these pictures. Some are saying they’re from a Tuesday night recording session, and some are saying they’re from a Tapas party Lindsay attended that night. Either way, Lindsay’s back to her leggings, and with that white shirt on she looks even more orange than usual. I wish she’d get my hints I keep throwing down, because the shiny leggings make her look about 30 pounds heavier than she is. And she’s not a thick girl at all!

Lindsay Lohan

Here’s a few pictures of Lindsay from December 10. her first day of recording with JR Rotem. While he’s worked with many stars, from Britney to Paris to Rhianna to Destiny’s Child, he’s known more for his tagging along with Britney and being named as the father of her yet to be confirmed third child. I just hope Lindsay keeps this relationship professional, because she definitely does not need to be sucked into whatever strange web he weaves when around women!

I don’t think anyone will mind, however, because you’ll be getting lots of pictures of Lindsay!

It’s too bad her albums always suck, because one thing this girl has going for her is her voice. Despite all the drama, she’s a really good singer, and it might do her some good to have some guidance in that area. And as she’s contractually oblidged to put out another album, maybe she can get that guidance this time around.

I’m doubting that will happen, however, since 50 Cent is already denying he’s attached to the project, and her last two albums have been total flops. At any rate, here she is seen entering the recording studio after stopping off for her daily dose of caffine.

When her new album finally drops sometime next year, it might just end up edgier and more raw than her previous efforts. At least, that’s what her father is telling Life & Style magazine this week. Apparently she and 50 Cent (who, according to Papa Lohan have been friends for years!) Are going to collaborate on her new album, giving it a sound that reflects where she’s at in life now that she’s been through so much.

Unidentified pals are also saying she’s excited to be making the new album and wants to get into the studio as fast as she can, thanks to her last few movies being such flops. And now that Dare To Love Me is on hiatus (thanks, I’m betting, to the writer’s strike) she needs something to occupy her time or she’ll end up boozing and drugging again.

The thing I find hardest to believe out of all of this? Her friendship with 50 Cent. The rest of it? Totally plausible. Anything is with Lindsay!

Lindsay Lohan, Michael Lohan, 50 Cent, Dare To Love Me

Now that shes out of rehab and back on the scene, it looks like Lindsay’s about to record her third album. She’s contractually obliged to record this album with Universal, so we should all expect some great pop songs and some catchy tunes coming up soon! Album title? It’s rumored to be “Nobody’s Angel”. And it seems like she’s only recording the album because of the contract, not because of any desire to make more music. Hmmm. It’s too bad she’s not more excited about the new album, because when all else fails, the girl really does have a great voice. She should use it more often!

Little Miss Lohan was spotted Tuesday, before heading out to hang with brother Dakota, at the Universal Music Group building. Does this mean she’s putting out another album?

Side note: the picture is not from that spotting, but instead from the lunch she had with Mama Lohan and Riley. And you can just see the stress on Mama Lohan’s face as she tries to push up to the front so she can get photographed too. Always full of class, that one!

There have rumors that Lindsay Lohan is going to play the role of Stevie Nicks in an upcoming movie about the singer’s rock star lifestyle. Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Stevie Nicks is an American singer and songwriter who is best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career, which earned her over twenty Top Forty hits.

But Stevie has blatantly denied the rumors that Lindsay will portray her and really doesn’t sound too impressed with them. According to reports, this is what she had to say: “Lindsay Lohan thinks she is going to play me? But what the hell movie does she think she’s talking about? There is no book, there is no screenplay, there is no movie without me, because it’s never going to be the story of me. Even though a lot has been written about me, the fact is nobody actually has a clue to what my life was really like. So, good luck Lindsay!” Yikes! Someone fell out of bed that morning.

Anyway, it seems to be quite sad news for Lindsay because sources say that she is desperate to play the role of the singer. From just Stevie’s comments here, I think that Lindsay might be a good choice after all – she would definitely match Stevie’s attitude and blatant honesty!
