E! Online has a great article up, discussing the reality of a Lindsay Lohan comeback. Besides talking about her photo shoot recreating Marilyn Monroe’s famous nude shots, they give this list of reasons to believe that Lindsay’s back on her way up.

* She’s cutting her third album.

* E! News recently reported that she’s booked a new acting gig, playing a member of the infamous Manson family in an upcoming movie.

* Just-in E! photos reveal that she’s currently capable enough to dress herself and do her own food shopping.

* Jack Black trusts her enough to work with her. She’s working on his new ren-fair-geek spoof, Ye Olde Times, due out next year.

While the “capable of dressing herself” comment seems a bit catty, the rest of it seems proof-enough to me that she’s back in business-as-usual mode. Add to this list the fact that she’s not being photographed exiting (or entering) clubs all over Hollywood anymore, there’s proof enough that she’s staying sober and managing herself like an adult to believe she can handle re-entering the Hollywood machine. Here’s hoping all these movie roles pan out, and she’s back to her old self soon.

Looks like there’s trouble for both Lohan daughters this week!

First, Ali Lohan is running into the modern-day equivalent of bullies at her school, and it looks like they’re being dealt with just as modern. Turns out a few of the girls she goes to school with put a video up on You Tube that had some harsh things to say about the Lohan family. The girls in question? They were expelled.

That’s right, expelled.

Ali had this to say: “A few girls got suspended in school because they did a video about me on YouTube or something and said stuff (that was) inappropriate. Bad stuff that if I ever said, my mother would kill me. “I was, like, really shocked because those girls, I thought they were my friends, but obviously you can’t trust anybody except your family.”

Life’s apparently really hard for you in school when you’re trying to be a pop star and your sister is super famous.

On Lindsay’s end, things aren’t looking any easier. She was in New York on the set of the new NERD video, where she’s apparently making a cameo, when all hell broke loose. Reports are coming back that a huge fight broke out on set, and police had to be called. Apparently people weren’t happy with the amount of camera-time they were getting. The good news for Lindsay? She had been off-set for three hours by the time this happened.

It sounds like Lindsay will be travelling to Italy before the end of the year, as she’s being honored by the Capri Film Festival this year, taking place on December 30.

American actress and pop singing star Lindsay Lohan is joining a remarkable lineup of international of directors, producers and performing artists being honored at the 12th Annual Capri, Hollywood 2007–The Film Festival. Producer Mark Canton (300, The Spiderwick Chronicles) serves as Chairman of the star-studded festival, which will take place at various locations throughout Capri, Italy, from December 27th through January 2, 2008.

Lindsay’s being honored for her longstanding film and television career, and for her professionalism from an early age. Here’s hoping that winning such an award will help pull her out of The Great Funk of 2007, and will help her get some better film roles!

Just when everyone’s slamming Riley for being a backseat kind of boyfriend he pipes up on his MySpace page (where else?) to bash Lindsay’s mom. It would seem the working mother has asked not just Lindsay but Riley as well to be on her new reality show, filming in Los Angeles, and the pair have given her the definitive thumbs-down on that offer. He bashes her idea of parenthood (filming a reality show instead of parenting your four kids), and then goes on to dish about the new digs in NY the pair are going to move into sometime in December.

Wait, they’re moving in together? In New York? What happened to Papa Lohan telling the world Lindsay’s buying a house in Utah so she can continue treatment after filming her newest box-office bomb in the making? New York is about as good an idea for her as living in LA for an extended period of time, and shacking up with the boy you stole from his fiance doesn’t seem like the best idea.

But who are we to tell newly sober Lindsay what to do? She didn’t listen to our advice about orange skin, so we know she won’t listen to us now, either.

Rosario Dawson and Lindsay Lohan are going to star in horror flick Grindhouse. In an interview with MTV, Rosario said, “I play a makeup and hair artist for Lindsay Lohan.” But Lindsay isn’t seen in the movie! Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who appears alongside Rosario, explains that although the characters talk about Lindsay, she doesn’t actually make an appearance in the movie.
So, not only are people talking about Lindsay in real life, but on the big screen as well. It seems art is imitating life!

It’s that time of year when everyone is thinking of the highlights and lowlights of 2006. But the Chicago Tribune gave Lindsay quite a slamming as they compiled their lists.
Lindsay featured in the ‘Word of the year’ category for the word ‘firecrotch.’ If you recall, it was rich kid Brandon Davis who used this word to criticize Lindsay and it kinda stuck, especially after Lindsay jumped on the ‘No Panties’ bandwagon.
Lindsay also “won” in the ‘Best Argument Against Child Stars’ category. The publication writes, ‘Few better illustrate the ‘curse of the child star’ syndrome better than this former Disney sweetheart, who has become better known for her drunken partying, grammatically incorrect email missives and her firecrotch than her considerable acting skills.’
