It would seem Lindsay’s back to NOT hosting a party at LAX. First there was her canceled birthday party at Pure (which she canceled to enter rehab for the second time), and rumors recently have put Lindsay so poor she needs to host a NYE party for the company because she can’t afford to pay them the money they gave her for the canceled appearance. Today however, her representative told Us Magazine that “Lindsay will no longer be hosting New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas.”

This is most likely the same source that told the magazine last week, “Lindsay doesn’t necessarily want to host but she’s contractually obligated,” but we’ll never really know. I’m hoping she’s chosen to bow out gracefully, honoring her sobriety over her agreements with a nightclub. Even better? LAX honors her sobriety as well, and for a night they have her host an alcohol-free party (possibly not on NYE, but another night in that general time period). Lindsay? Have your people call me for further details on this idea. I’m betting there’s thousands (okay, maybe hundreds) of people who would go to an alcohol-free evening at a Vegas club if there was a chance of partying with you!

Remember when Lindsay was supposed to host a party for her 21st birthday at Pure, but decided instead to go into rehab (for the second time? third time? twelfth time?)?

Well, she’s (maybe) throwing that party on New Year’s Eve (but at LAX, at the Luxor)! That’s right, folks. Nothing says sobriety like a huge New Year’s Eve bash! Which means it’s time to start placing bets … do we think she and Riley will still be together then? Do we think she’ll still be sober (or at least pretending to be sober) then? Remember, this party? It’s only eight weeks away, but anything can happen in that time!

In reality, who knows if she’s actually throwing a party at all. Luxor just released a press announcement saying Nicky and Paris Hilton will be hosting their New Year’s Eve bash at the popular night club, not Lindsay. Who knows what’s up now, but I’m betting LiLo will be somewhere in Vegas for the new year … she can’t be that serious about quitting, can she?
