Scoring one for mom’s everywhere, Dina Lohan’s been telling people she doesn’t understand why her daughter had to go to rehab. Apparently her daughter’s DUI seems the same to her as a college kid getting a DUI, and in her words, “Like, if you’re in college and you get a D.U.I., you don’t go to rehab. It’s just ridiculous!”

Yeah, Dina, if you’re in college and you get a DUI you don’t go to rehab. Sure. But if you hijack someone’s car with them and two of their friends in it, and then try to sneak coke into jail with you? Then you need to go to rehab. And when you aren’t even 21 and admitting you’ve been partying for years and telling people OF YOUR OWN ACCORD that you’ve got a problem, and when your every move is splashed all over the television and magazines? Then you go to rehab. Even if just to save your career.

There are plenty of stars who quietly party much harder than Lindsay ever did, I’m sure. She just chose to do it so that everyone was watching and critiquing her. And that’s the fastest way to end your Hollywood career. Just look at Britney Spears! Or Mel Gibson. Or Dog the Bounty Hunter (Hah!) … they all aired their dirty laundry willingly and have crushed their careers. Take note, Dina, take note.

Promises Rehab Center, the home of Lindsay’s second stint in rehab (as well as the rehab site for Britney Spears) was evacuated early last week due to the wildfires raging through California as we speak. The residents were moved to an undisclosed location as a precautionary measure, as the center is located on a one-lane road, making quick evacuation under pressure much more difficult.

It looks as though Lindsay actually did leave rehab. Pics are surfacing (mostly on Just Jared’s site) of her being picked up by her father and his new, un-named girlfriend, heading out to have some food and then parting ways. Since Friday, however, no photos have surfaced of the pop tartlet. Here’s hoping she’s laying low and keeping clean, getting ready for her new movie role.

Now that Lindsay’s left rehab, rumors are swirling as to why, and for how long.

While all agree she’s left the confines of Cirque Lodge, there’s two different ideas as to why. First there’s that movie that’s been put off in her absence, Dare To Love Me. Us Magazine is reporting she’s spent the weekend in Utah with her estranged father, and then travelled the few hours to L.A. to begin filming the movie.

Pop Sugar is reporting, however, that LL is just on her way to LA long enough to see a dentist. They’re saying (as is TMZ) that the rumors of her leaving rehab are just that … rumors. She did take time this weekend to be with her father, but she is just heading to LA to get her teeth fixed (and/or bleached) and then she’s headed right back to rehab.

We’ll see in the days ahead which story is true.

Lindsay has officially checked out of rehab, according to People Magazine. She’s been in rehab since August, and has been rumored to have hooked up, used drugs, and been a royal pain in the ass. While all that was going on, she was actually working the program, getting healthy, and reuniting with her father after more than three years.

Incidentally, her father’s the one who picked her up and helped her carry all her bags out of the Cirque Lodge!

Sources at Cirque Lodge are saying she had finished their program some time ago, but chose to stay on to help keep herself sober longer, and that even though she’s no longer living at the center, she may choose to return for out-patient visits. Does this mean Lindsay will be staying in Utah for awhile, keeping sober by staying in contact with her rehab counselors and sponsors?

All I know is the last time this girl said she was clean and sober she was back on drugs in a matter of weeks. Here’s hoping she’ll stick with sobriety this time, because she’s still got a lot of life in front of her!

Although Lindsay Lohan was due to be discharged from rehab after a month, which was later this week, rumor has it the Bobby star might be staying longer. Apparently this is also the reason why she cancelled her wild 21st birthday plans in Las Vegas - so it’s bye-bye to temptation and hello recovery. A source told the New York Post that Lindsay might not be out of rehab by the time her birthday swings around on the 2nd July. “She is staying in Promises [rehab] for longer than a month. We don’t know how much longer because of her work schedule, but she is taking rehab very seriously this time and not messing around.”

According to a report by Fametastic, Lindsay’s dad, Michael Lohan, is thrilled that his daughter has ditched her party plans so that she can work on staying sober. “It was absurd and thank God she called it off,” he told The Insider. He’s also very glad that Lindsay has been turning to religion during her time in rehab, saying, “Lindsay has found this righteous path because she’s going to church and that’s a good sign.”

Just because Lindsay is in rehab, it doesn’t mean she’s hitting the brakes on her upcoming party plans. Even though the alcohol company sponsoring the party has pulled out, the show simply must go on. If you thought Lindsay was gonna cancel her birthday bash, you obviously don’t know a party girl when you see one! A few days after her release from rehab, Lindsay will be celebrating a wild 21st birthday bash at Pure in Las Vegas. I bet she can’t wait to get out there and slap on her dancing shoes. It might seem a tad strange for her to be let loose on the party scene just as she’s fresh out of rehab because there will be loads of temptation all around her, but sources close to Lindsay have told PerezHilton.com the party is definitely happening.

Lindsay bolts out of rehab next week, but according to those close to her she has not simply flitted through the process of getting her life back on track. “She’s taken rehab very seriously. She has cut a lot of negative influences in her life. She and [her mom] speak every day,” a source told NYDN.

Meanwhile, Pure have been getting the invites rolling – they recently sent emails to thousands of people to invite them to Lindsay’s bash. Hmm, which party girl in their right mind would wanna miss it?

While Lindsay is trying to recover in rehab, her problems continue to crash in on her from the outside world. And ‘crash’ is a fitting word because Lindsay is being sued by Florian Loeckle, CEO of Grandeur Incorporated, which claims that Lindsay crashed into one of their parked vans back in October 2005. According to reports, Lindsay was driving in Beverly Hills, allegedly racing away from the paparazzi at the time. In the rush, she hit a red van while trying to make an illegal U-turn. Hmm, maybe she’s dreaming for a role in a fast-paced action Hollywood movie? The van then hit into Loeckle’s parked vehicle. The driver of the other car was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Lindsay was also taken to the hospital. According to CelebTV.com, Grandeur is after more than $3,600 in damages. Ouch. Later this month a judge is going to hear the matter but so far Lindsay’s rep has not commented about the incident.

Meanwhile, on the inside of rehab, Lindsay is cozying up to fellow rehabber, socialite Dori Cooperman. Dori was arrested earlier this year for larceny and forgery, yet insists she was framed by an imposter. A source claims Lindsay and Dori have been seen working up a sweat together – at the gym, that is. But so far they haven’t said anything about a possible budding relationship.

Lindsay Lohan is hitting rock bottom- hard. According to a close friend of the star, Lindsay has been falling apart mentally as she continues her second stint in the Promises clinic in California. According to the source, who blabbed to News of the World, the night Lindsay checked into the facility, she couldn’t stop the waterworks. Aside from crying, she’s been rebelling against the rules and has also been having her no-holds-barred say about people on the outside world – including her boyfriend.

According to The Bosh, in one of her group meetings Lindsay stated that her friend Paris was a coke whore and couldn’t believe how stupid she’d been driving while banned. “Paris thinks she’s above everyone. She’s not,” Lindsay mouthed off. “Paris is a stupid cow and deserves what she gets.” Then Lindsay moved on to verbally assault Nicole Richie, even though the two were recently assumed to be good friends again. Lindsay saw a bulimic woman and compared her to Nicole. “What problems does Nicole have? The girl just needs to eat. Period,” she said.

As for her ‘no show’ boyfriend Calum Best who hasn’t even checked up to see how Lindsay is doing, the source claims Lindsay was shocked when she heard the news that Calum had been caught doing cocaine and having sex with two hookers. “Since then [Lindsay] has begun to self-destruct even more,” the source says. “When she was told what he had done with those prostitutes she broke down and cried, ‘I thought he loved me’.” What’s just made matters worse is the fact that Calum hasn’t made an effort to stand by her. “She thought Calum might become her rock but sadly he has just continued his wild ways without her. That’s torn her apart.”

You gotta love them loyal men, huh? While Lindsay Lohan was checking into rehab, her man Calum Best was spotted hanging out at one of Lindsay’s favorite nightclubs, Hyde. But partying’s not all he was getting up to while Lindsay was checking into the Promises rehab facility.

Calum was also caught on video snorting lines of cocaine and having sex with two hookers, according to UK’s The Sun. On the video Calum and the hookers are seen engaging in various sexual acts. Calum is seen romping with both women, licking cocaine off the body of one of them and then being pleasured by both at the same time. In the paper, both women are named (oh the shame of it).

When Calum was confronted about the video (ooh, that’s gotta be embarrassing), he said, “I’ve been stupid. I regret all of it. Whether it’s drink, drugs or women, there comes a time when you think, ‘I shouldn’t be doing that.’
“I am a young man and I like to indulge, but look where it has got me - I feel ashamed.”

And his cheating escapades apparently happened just after Calum, 26, said he was ready to settle down. Hmm, he sure has a fine way of showing it.

What do Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan have in common? Well, aside from annoying singing careers, they also keep head-butting the law and getting into trouble.

Lindsay was recently involved in an accident in Beverly Hills when she crashed her car into a curb after (you guessed it) a night of heavy partying. Apparently she was chasing her friend DJ Samantha Ronson after the two were involved in a heated argument. “She was trying to talk to Sam - they were screaming, obviously arguing, and Lindsay was heard [shouting], ‘You f**king lesbian bitch,’” a source told the Daily Mirror. “Lindsay drove her Merc over to Samantha and told her to get in, but Sam said no.” A few moments later, Lindsay ended up losing control while driving and crashed the car.

Luckily, she did not suffer any serious injuries. But what is serious is that police arrived at the scene, scoured the actress’s car and found narcotics (thought to be traces of cocaine) in it! At a news conference, Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mitch McCann said Lindsay might face additional felony charges when the case is presented to the District Attorney’s office. Yikes…

But the accident and possible charges don’t seem to click in Lindsay’s brain because although she was given a citation for suspicion of DUI, she was seen partying again the very next day! Apparently she looked so wasted by the end of the night that she had to be driven home by Samantha.

It seems the party is ending for Lindsay – in more ways than one. This incident comes crashing in (if you’ll pardon the pun) on her upcoming birthday plans. Vodka company Svedka has now pulled themselves off the sponsor list! The company allegedly had a spat with Lindsay and started having second thoughts about being a sponsor. Yeah, and after her DUI, they probably figure that teaming up with Lindsay might just result in bad press. Can you imagine this party slogan: ‘Drink our alcohol, get wasted, crash your car, go to jail?’ Err, yeah, I don’t think they’d jump on that.

The good news is that Lindsay has decided to check into rehab, for a second time. “She finally realizes it’s the right thing to do,” a friend of the actress says. “She is going willingly.”

Yes, celebrities whine about the ever-curious paparazzi, but surely they’re glad that they’re taken notice of? Lindsay admits ‘YES!’ She recently told US magazine Nylon that although it can be too much at times, she does like being snapped. “I get embarrassed about the paparazzi if I’m in a chic restaurant, or when I was in the AA meetings. I feel really disrespectful because those people are doing that for themselves and it’s no one else’s business.
“But that was the only time it was embarrassing. Other times, I obviously like it… I wouldn’t ever want them to not take my picture… I’d be worried.”
And if she’s not the subject of a picture, she starts to worry that she is no longer cared for. Awww, shame. “I wouldn’t ever want [the paparazzi] to not take my picture… I’d be worried. I’d be like ‘Do people not care for me’?” she says.

Over the last few months Lindsay’s been in and out of rehab, she then claimed she’s not an alcoholic, she’s been rumored to be in a lesbian relationship, she’s been dropping out of movies and causing a stir on film sets where she actually stays, she’s fought with other celebrities, had her appendix removed and allegedly stole $10 000 worth of stuff from a former friend. And that’s just some of the stuff that’s been going on Planet La Lohan. Sheesh, it just goes to show that becoming anonymous is the last thing Lindsay should worry about!

Just what did Lindsay learn in rehab? It seems she’s still keen to party like there’s no tomorrow and be the last to leave the club. She’s been the target of many rumors that she’s holding onto the sober bandwagon by her teeth because of the fact that she’s been spotted all over the place, partying as hard as someone who has never had an alcohol problem. If there’s a new venue in town to make it on the Hollywood hotspot list, you can bet that Lindsay will be there to open the doors – she was recently spotted at Hollywood’s latest hot-place-to-be-seen, Parc. What’s really funny about Lindsay’s partying is that it doesn’t stop her from giving rehab advice to fellow stars. She recently gave Britney Spears some advice on how to stay sober! Err, isn’t that like a bankrupt person telling someone poor how to handle their finances? Using In Touch magazine as her communication method, Lindsay told Britney to ‘take it one day at a time.’ Hmm, maybe Lindsay should take some of her own advice and start taking it easy herself. We admit – with party pals such as Robbie Williams, it isn’t always easy to stay at home with your puppies (which Lindsay bought as an attempt to stay home and sober).

Lindsay Lohan says that she’s lucky she went to rehab when she did because her booze addiction could have killed her. Lindsay recently committed to a thirty day stay in rehab facility Wonderland and claims that loved ones had been worrying about her life prior to her treatment. “I was really sick. I went to hospital and had people sit me down who said, ‘You are going to die if you don’t take care of yourself.’ I heeded what they were telling me,” Lindsay tells News of the World.

Good thing she decided to stop her bad lifestyle habits when she did because she has so much talent – she’s even the inspiration for songs these days! British band McFly, who worked with Lindsay on the movie Just My Luck, have scribbled a song about the paparazzi princess. According to Entertainment Wise, Harry in the band got on very well with Lindsay and his band mates are helping him remember the experience with a new track called ‘Please, Please Lindsay, Please.’
Check out some of the lyrics: ‘Set the scene, I think I’m in love now. Your eyes are green, you come from above now. Your red hair, you’re taking me higher. You love yourself more than you love me.’ But the other guys in the band refused to let Harry partake in the writing process. “We banned Harry from having any say in the lyrics,” says Danny. “Me, Tom and Dougie sat down and wrote the song as a joke, then went up to Harry and said, ‘Mate, we just wrote a song about this Lindsay girl you hooked up with. You don’t mind, do you?’” But the boys admit Lindsay might not be as taken to the song as they were. “I’m not sure she’d like it, to be honest. She hasn’t heard it yet and we’ve no intention of playing it for her.”

What’s going on in Hollywood? It seems like there’s a rehab race going on with so many celebrities pressing pause on their lives and checking into rehab. First it was Lindsay Lohan, then Robbie Williams and even Britney Spears (after her head-shaving episode). Now heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has also thrown in the towel on living dangerously and has checked into a rehab facility. According to TMZ, Mike entered the same rehab facility Lindsay did - Wonderland - after being caught with cocaine.

And he seems to be following in La Lohan’s footsteps with his ‘rehab is fun’ approach! If Lindsay could give Mike a lesson about rehab it would probably be: ‘Leave the rehab facility for some TLC.’ When Lindsay was in rehab, she used to regularly leave the facility to do some shopping. She even had hairdressers and makeup artists on call should she need some pampering at the facility. Sigh, what a pleasure to be so famous. Although Mike doesn’t strike us as someone who would be keen on lipstick - and he doesn’t have hair to style – he has also been taking breaks from rehab. But when he goes out, he hits the gym, not the mall. TMZ reports that Mike was recently seen pumping iron at a West Hollywood gym. He was spotted working up a sweat and politely chatting to gym patrons. Must be the endorphins.
