Lindsay Lohan: “Please take me seriously!”
Lindsay is tired of being seen as a party girl and is holding thumbs that her new film, I Know Who Killed Me, will show everyone that she is serious about her career.
In the thriller, Lindsay plays a character who gets kidnapped and tortured, then becomes a stripper. “At first I was like, ‘I can’t do this, I’m getting my legs cut off. I don’t want to look like that in scenes, I want to look decent.’ But that was just me being young and stupid. And I have my first sex scene in it which I always said I wouldn’t do,� she says. Lindsay then goes on to add, “I wanted to do this movie so people can see that I’m a f**ing actress and I’ve been doing it forever and it’s about time people see that. It felt so good to really act. I just pray people won’t rip me apart for it, and be negative.�
Lindsay not only wants to be taken seriously for her work, but hopes that she will snag an Oscar. “The thing with the press, and why they need to leave me the f**k alone for a little bit, is because I don’t want that distracting from my work. I want to get a nomination. I want to win an Oscar,� she says. “I want to be known for more than, like, going out. For being the ‘party girl’. I hate that. I bust my ass when I’m filming and when I have time off, yeah, I like to go out and dance.�
But actress Jane Fonda, who reprimanded Lindsay for her unprofessional behavior on the set of Georgia Rule, has no regrets about doing so. “I think she’s a fantastic actress and I think she’s just brilliant in this movie. She moved me to pieces. Basically, she’s a nice girl, but she was late a few times and I yelled at her,â€? Jane told the Chicago Sun-Times. “One day I had had enough and went to her make-up trailer and said, ‘Come on, Lindsay! Everybody’s waiting for you!’ And I just turned on my heel and walked out. Afterwards, they told me she turned to her make-up person and said, ‘Barbarella just yelled at me!’”
