Manson Girls Already Causing Trouble For Lindsay?
Lindsay’s latest movie adventure, Manson Girls, is already causing controversy, and it’s not even in production yet! Lindsay is set to play Nancy Pittman, who did not participate in the Charles Manson murders but is believed to have gone afterwards with Manson to the scene to remove some of the evidence.
While she’s been filming these darker roles for the last few years (I Know Who Killed Me, Chapter 27), some feel she needs to return to more mainstream movies. Her father is just one of those people.
“I don’t know who is making her decisions for her. But I just wish she would go back to those family-style films, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, you know. This is a bad decision and I don’t know who is telling her to do it.”
In talking to the press he also says Lindsay’s too big a star to be in such genre-specific films. Which is the part I don’t get, really. Stars like Jake Gyllenhaal and Jodie Foster have been in “genre specific� films, and Val Kilmer is known for them. I think Mike’s just worried his daughter’s career won’t be able to bounce back as fast as they’d wanted it to, now that she’s out of rehab and back to her old lifestyle. Someone needs to remind these people rebuilding a career takes time. Look at Drew Barrymore … it took her the better part of five years to get back on track!
